We are using the internet from the very past time. It was invented in 1983 by the agency called ARPA (advanced research project agency)and went publically on 6th august 1991. in India, the usage of the internet was increased from 2016 when the Jio comes into existence. As we know the internet has many benefits. But you will be surprised when I told you that the information we access on the internet daily is 10% of the total information available on the internet. What happens to the other 90%, well we will be going to discuss that.
Let start with the very basic what is the internet?
The Internet basically a network between the two or more computers which was formed when we connect through them by a wire. Although we are using the internet in the wireless form which is a different subject of discussion there is a network of cables all over the world which is called the backbone of the internet.

What is the surface web, Deep web, and the last Dark web?
Mainly information available on the internet is divided into 3 parts the surface web, the Deep web, and the last Dark web.
The surface web contains that webpages that are indexed in the search engine mean you can access them just by search on any search engine. The surface is also known as an indexable web, visible web or Lightnet. According to the report by one source, as of June 14, 2015, the surface web contains about 14.5 billion web pages.
The deep web also is known as invisible web or hidden web contains are the parts of the internet (world wide web) which are not indexed in any of the search engines. Michael Bergman was the first person who assigns the term deep web in 2001. All the content of deep web is hidden behind the HTTP (hypertext transfer protocol) form and it includes webmails, private and restricted platforms of social media pages and profiles, net banking, some web forum which require registration to view content, services which can’t be used until you pay for that, etc. these type of information can only be accessed by the URL (uniform resource locator) or IP (internet protocol).
The dark web is that part of the internet that exists on overlays network, darknets that require specific software, configurations, or authorization to access. The dark web is a small part of the deep web. Which is not indexed by the search engine. The dark web is different from the deep web it includes friends to friend peer to peer networks, popular networks such as Tor, Freenet, I2P, and Riffle which are operated by the public organizations and individuals.
The dark web is used for illegal activities which can’t be done until you hide your identity. Such as black market drug sales, child pornography, human trafficking, buying and selling of arms, organ trafficking, etc. the majority of dark websites use the anonymity software called tor or I2P. these are also the web browser that provides access to the dark web. They will generate proxies and encryption to circulate the traffic.
When web users run Tor, as an example, any sites they visit can’t easily see their IP addresses. But an internet site that itself runs Tor—what’s referred to as a Tor hidden service—can only be visited by Tor users. therefore the webserver takes three hops to a randomly chosen meet-up point within the Tor network.
Just because the IP addresses of these sites are kept hidden, however, doesn’t mean they’re necessarily secret. Anyone who runs the Tor browser and knows a site’s URL or IP address, which for Tor hidden services ends in ".onion," can easily visit those illegal online marketplaces.

Those unindexed sites do include the Dark Web, but they also include far more mundane content like registration-required web forums and dynamically-created pages like your Gmail account—hardly the scandalous stuff hour had in mind. the particular Dark Web, against this, likely accounts for fewer than .01% of the web: Security researcher Nik Cubrilovic counted but 10,000 Tor hidden services during a recent crawl of the Dark Web, compared with many many regular websites.
Although there is too much to discuss the dark web and deep web. But it will convert into lots of technical words and hard to explain every point. So, if you want to know more contact me or comment below.
